What a weekend, team.
Connie and I just got back from New Hampshire, the latest stop on our Dignity of Work Tour. To say we had a great time would be an understatement.
We kicked things off with a roundtable in Hampton before heading up to Portsmouth. Throughout our first day in the Granite State, we heard so many powerful stories—about everything from paid family leave to criminal justice reform.
The next day, we were up early to meet with workers in Berlin, and then to hear from caregiving professionals in Laconia. That afternoon, we visited Concord, where we were lucky to meet more great people—and more than a few dogs! While we missed Franklin, we enjoyed making some new canine friends.
We finished up the tour in Manchester, where I was lucky enough to meet with members of the New Hampshire Young Democrats. These are some amazing young people who are already working hard to create the change they want to see.
The communities we visited this weekend are just like those in Ohio and all over the country: filled with people who work hard, but who are too often overlooked by Washington and by Wall Street. They deserve better — because no matter where you live or what you do, your hard work should pay off. I left New Hampshire feeling inspired to keep working until that’s the reality.
I hope you’ll join me as we keep that fight for progress going strong. If you can, invest a few dollars in this movement today.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
